White Mountain Treks Build older Scouts’ backpacking expertise and wilderness skills, giving them confidence to think large and live deep in the untouched places of the outdoors. Participants spend six days and five nights on the trail (Mon-Fri) navigating remote and challenging areas of the White Mountain National Forest within the State of New Hampshire (off GSR property).  Lodging is provided at GSR the night of arrival and prior to departure.

Scouts must be 14 years of age and First Class Rank to participate.

All White Mountain Trek participants must have a completed BSA Annual Health and Medical Record with Parts A, B and C and D completed. Part C of the form is the physical examination which must be signed by a certified and licensed health-care provider recognized by the BSA. Recognized providers are physicians (MD, DO), nurse practitioners, and physician's assistants. Substitute forms will not be accepted.
