From Internet Rechartering, you can indicate returning members, add new members, and update information for an individual or the chartered organization. How to Use: Rechartering handbooks and Internet Rechartering access codes are distributed at your district's October roundtables. Each unit must select one adult to be its renewal processor. If your unit has not received the handbook and code yet, you may download a copy of the Rechartering Handbook above; contact your unit commissioner, district executive, or the council service center to receive your unit's Internet Rechartering code. Anyone who wants to learn more about how Internet Rechartering works can take the interactive Internet Re-chartering tutorial and view the help (links below). To Renew a Charter Online: (Summarized directions -- for complete directions, please see the Rechartering Handbook): -

The renewal processor attends the October roundtables to receive training and the unit access code (also in the rechartering packet of information). -
Sixty to 45 days before the unit's expiration date, the renewal processor clicks "Re-charter Now" and begins the process. -
When the online process is completed, the renewal processor prints the completed charter renewal application. -
The unit leader and the chartered organization representative sign the charter renewal application. Bring the application along with the material you received in your re-charter packet and all appropriate fees to your district's charter turn-in meeting.
